looking for more performers

In addition to the protagonists (Valerie, the metropolis architect, the commune architect, and the Eremite), we need party people (who need to linger around indifferently in Scene 1), and some communards (most of who will create the «Dance of the Radical Dignity» of Scene 4). The party people are mainly younger, but some of the communards should be elderly.

This poster will be spread all around Berlin.
For more info on what the performance consists of, see the directions page. Since this is a no-budget project, I can‘t pay you (except for a symbolic sum of 50€). But we will cook and strive to make it a pleasure and great experience for everyone! After all, the experiment is about the people and the process, and not so much about the final movie.

The people

There are the shooting team (director, camera operator, people for sound, continuity, set runners), the protagonists, and at least 10 performers. It would be great if some of them were elderly (60+) and others young (20-30).
Strict division of labour and hierarchies won‘t be there because they make people unhappy. Ideally, we all spend all our time together on the area, in „creative isolation“. Some buildings there are perfect for sleepovers. But if nescessary, both dance scenes (1 and 4) can be shot at a stretch, so that some performers would only need to spend one evening there.

The space

We can shoot all scenes in the former Russian barracks area by the Krampnitzsee between Potsdam and Spandau. There are large free areas there, also bath tubs and a lake, and it‘s calm and peaceful and inspiring there.
Coloured tissues suggest walls. Similarly, the clothes will be rather abstract. To me it‘s important that no association towards concretes styles or times is evoked. Props only when nescessary; voice and imitating play are expendable. Instead, the bodies will tell a story.

Story

Valerie is seeking a rich life. In the metropolis, people lack the grand ideas. She finds those in the alternative commune, but there, in the name of liberation, new violence is exerted. So she walks deep into the forest where the eremite is living. But working in his garden, Valerie finally feels bored, and moves on.
