These are the directions that will shape the actual shooting process. Meant as a guide rather than a dictate.

—Handdrawn introduction to Karl's functional architecture and the individualist metropolis in general—

Valerie is on some kind of private party. She wakes up early in the morning because she has to pee. The party is an individualist orgy. Interaction of the guests is limited to the nescessary. Besides, all suffer from hangover.
ENVIRONMENT: early dawn; some random blue and red-orange walls; artificial lightning: bright fires behind the walls (→ gasoline!)
PROPS: food; colorful, hallucinogenic drinks; a swing; a lot of cigarettes and joints and smoke.
WARDROBE: cyber-punk, avant-garde; outré, pretentious… Valerie should wear something simple, unpretentious yet not conventional. Generally, nothing should recall "real" fashion too much. Rather timeless and strange.
VALERIE: makes her way through the mess; slightly drunk but determined to reach the toilet; driven by a fortunate wind.
GUESTS: sleep; linger; eat; drink; push away other guests; try to penetrate them; caress floor or walls or themselves; stare at the air; try to look cool while feeling sick.

On the toilet, she pees and relaxes. Karl, fully dressed, is sleeping in the bath tub in the opposite corner. Obviously, he didn't see there are water and beer bottles inside when he selected this bed. Valerie sits down on the verge of the bath tub, and then lets herself slide into the water.
ENVIRONMENT: late dawn; four white walls.
PROPS: a toilet and a buth tub; beer bottles; water.
WARDROBE: Karl carries an architect's modest grey/beige pullover and black trousers. Valerie still wears what she wore before.
VALERIE: slightly swaying and very relaxed; slow.
KARL: uneasily sleeping in his uncomfortable situation; not so relaxed; doesn't care much about Valerie.

Some days later, Valerie and Karl form a couple. They sit in their bath tub together. Maybe they are smoking. Karl is filing his architectural models. Valerie soon feels bored and rearrange Karl's buildings to tease him. Stoically, he puts them back in order. Valerie gets the two a coffee. She glances at infinity while robots draw circles and lines on the floor around the bath tub.
ENVIRONMENT: day; no walls; camera angle is such that no horizon is visible.
PROPS: a bath tub filled with comfortably hot water; a board on top of the bath tub; some gypsum buildings on top of the board; cigarettes.
WARDROBE none.
VALERIE: feels some inner urge.
KARL: feels absolutely no urge but to concentrate on his work.
—Handdrawn: Valerie receives an invitation to her father's funeral and travels to the commune where he has been living in the past years—

On a large meadow, the communards are standing below a large tree and disperse the ashes. Valerie, sitting on her suitcase or backpack, regards them from a secure distance. Then she approaches the group.
ENVIRONMENT: day; no walls but a big tree
PROPS: an urn or the like; Valerie's luggage.
WARDROBE: Depending on the temperature and the actor's taste, Valerie wears a scarf and some autumn clothing. The communards wear tissues of red, yellow, brown, ochre and turquoise color.
VALERIE: calm but curious
COMMUNARDS: similarly calm and relaxed; noble.

A dionysic meal on a festive table. Valerie enters and is greeted by a moved woman. She caresses her.
A large Area and a lake, here and there a suspended tissue suggesting a wall, and about 20 people. In between, a camera and a story. That is the set-up of the experiment.
